I am from SC however my DUI was in NC. Do you have any information on who I can contact for my assessment in SC? I live in York County so maybe in the Rock Hill or Fort Mill area?
Hi Kim, Thank you for your question. You can contact the York County ADSAP program to get the process started. You will also need to work with a provider here in North Carolina to facilitate the process. Once you complete the assessment and classes in South Carolina, the facility will send the relevant information to the North Carolina provider for approval. Below you will find a link to contact ADSAP in York County: https://www.keystoneyork.org/subpage.aspx?id=32&pid=30
We specialize in resolving out of state DWIs so feel free to contact us and we will be happy to guide you through the process.

Hi Daniel..Thank you for contacting us. Yes, you can use the assessment here in Charlotte to satisfy the DUI requirements for a charge in NY. Feel free to call our office for more details.
I got a dwi over 30 years ago, I have not had a drink in 19 years now, why do I have to have an assessment done after all that time, they say I cannot get my temps until I have an assessment done, please answer me that, I only have had 1 dwi in my whole life. sharon
Hi Sharon..I definitely understand where you’re coming from. 30 years ago is a long time. Unfortunately the North Carolina DMV does not have a “statute of limitation” when it comes to resolving a DWI. Having to deal with a charge from 30 years ago can be very frustrating for everyone involved. Have you contacted anyone at the State Office of DWI Services to see what, if anything, can be done?
After completing the DUI education, I was referred for substance abuse treatment by the Florida Safety Council (FSC) in 2011. However, I completed probation yet never started the referred substance abuse treatment. Shortly after probation, I moved out-of-state to NC. Now, seven years later, I am seeking to reinstate my driving privilege while sober and with no further offenses. FSC requires that I now (2018) find a NC provider for treatment. Is there any way to have a re-evaluation that would satisfy Florida so that my treatment be more accurate?
I am asking for my husband he received a DUI in Georgia and he has paid all his fines and the lady he talked to when he called told him he had to do a 16 hrs class I was trying to find out how much it cost and what he needs to take the class. Could you please send me a email and let me know please.
I am trying to find out the process of someone who is 19 who got a .02 DWI due to the zero tolerance law in NC. However, he has a NYS Driver’s license. He is now living in NC as of recently however as he has acquired a very good job. Court has continuously been cancelled 5x now. I need to find out what he can do to be proactive and get an assessment prior to court so that he will have that done when he is before the judge. Also, he will still need to drive to his job in NC where he is now living but as I have aforementioned he has a NYS Driver’s license and did when he got the zero tolerance DWI in NC. Does anyone have any information or insight on this matter? TIA
Hi Sara, Thank you for submitting your question. It was a pleasure speaking with over the phone regarding this matter and helping to provide some clarity.
