How To Get Your Driver’s License Back after a North Carolina DWI

In North Carolina, a driver will receive a citation if arrested for driving with a blood alcohol content (BAC) level of .08 or higher. Clearing a DWI with the state of North Carolina involves several steps from arrest to clearing the driver’s record with the DMV. Two of the steps involve getting a substance abuse/alcohol assessment and completing the necessary DWI education and treatment as recommended in the assessment.

North Carolina state DWI laws require anyone convicted of a DWI to participate in education or treatment as a part of the reinstatement process. The slides below show each step of the NC DWI drivers license review and reinstatement process for getting your drivers license back after a DWI.
