Therapy for issues big and small
Have you been feeling down or on edge lately? Have you lost interest in things you used to love? Have you been avoiding problems in your life that scare you? Have you been experiencing changes in how much you eat or sleep?
Maybe you have experienced something traumatic recently, such as job loss, divorce, or the death of a loved one. Or maybe you haven’t, and you can’t really pinpoint why you’re feeling this way.
No matter what you’re dealing with, there is no issue too big or too small for therapy. Our team of qualified counselors is here to listen and help.
Why Absolute Advocacy?
You don’t need to have a diagnosed mental illness to benefit from therapy. Absolute Advocacy treats human beings with unique life experiences and symptoms, regardless of their underlying disorders.
We offer an affirming and judgment-free zone. Our services include, but are not limited to:
- Depression, anxiety, and other mental illnesses
- Suicidal ideation
- Self-harm
- Substance use
- Trauma (including bullying and abuse)
- Adjustment disorders
You might also benefit from group and family therapy. Or, if you are looking for therapy for someone under 18 years old, check out our youth and adolescent therapy options.
The Process
Once you schedule your first appointment, you’ll need to fill out some paperwork about your symptoms and family history. We’ll have a first consultation where we talk about your issues, then come up with a plan for getting your life back on track.
Absolute Advocacy accepts Medicaid, and we can work with you and your insurance to see what payment options are available to you. Contact the office for more information on our rates.
We also offer virtual therapy. Please let our office know if you’d like to schedule a virtual therapy appointment.
Locations
We have locations in Charlotte and Concord and offer flexible hours to match your schedule.
Note: In the wake of Mecklenburg County closures due to COVID-19, all our services are currently being offered online-only. Please contact our office for more details, and view our post on how you can protect your mental health in the midst of this crisis.
