Have you received a substance-related diagnosis? Are you in search of a comprehensive outpatient program for drug or alcohol recovery? You’ve found it!
Absolute Advocacy’s tenured team of licensed and certified substance abuse professionals aids people just like you every day. Through the Intensive Outpatient Program, we help our clients walk the road to recovery and learn the necessary life skills to maintain sobriety.
What Is SAIOP?
The Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program or SAIOP is structured to assist those diagnosed with a substance use disorder. The program is primarily comprised of the following services:
- Individual, group, and family counseling
- Life skills
- Strategies for relapse prevention
- Crisis contingency planning
- Disease management
- Service coordination activities
Admission to the program is contingent on a substance use diagnosis or referral. Discharge occurs when the client has met the goals outlined in their Person Centered Plan, can no longer benefit from the program, or no longer wishes to participate.
What to Expect
Admission into SAIOP starts with a professional diagnosis by a licensed clinical addiction specialist, certified substance abuse counselor, licensed psychologist, physician, physician’s assistant, or nurse practitioner. Once obtained, our team compiles a thorough client history. The goal is to document and address all relevant issues and challenges through a detailed assessment. Individual assessments guide which program services or referrals are best used. When starting the program, you can expect a detailed look at the following areas:
- Health and medical conditions
- Indications of emotional problems or psychiatric illness
- Legal issues
- Family relationships
- Employment-related issues
The SAIOP program is a minimum of 90 hours. It may seem like a lot, but it flies by in intensive and productive bursts as short as 3 hours per day, 3 days a week. For those in need of greater support, the program can be tailored to up to 19 weekly hours of structured services.
Absolute Advocacy has been helping people overcome substance-related issues since 2011. We take great pride in providing the awareness, education, skills, and support network needed to break free from drug or alcohol abuse and addiction.
