The state of North Carolina requires the completion of internship hours before a person can qualify as a certified substance abuse counselor. Knocking off those hours isn’t about knocking them off; it’s about learning the skills you will need to succeed from an approved service provider.

Absolute Advocacy’s team includes Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialists (LCAS) and Clinical Supervisors (CS). We are approved to provide internship and clinical supervision by the North Carolina Substance Abuse Professional Practice Board (NCSAPPB) — the credentialing body of addictions counselors in North Carolina.
